Founded in 2019 At Design & Lo we pride ourselves on making design approachable and translating a clients’ vision into a reality. A well considered design has the ability to impact how you feel in a space. Whether it be a home or a commercial space, it’s paramount for us to reflect the personalities of our clients through a collaborative design process. We believe there should be a balance between the beautiful and the practical, spaces should be designed with both form and function in mind.
We understand that every project is unique and so it’s really important for us to capture each individual client's exact requirements. We do this by listening and working closely together during the whole design process. We offer a warm and personable approach to any scale of project.
We believe that craftsmanship and skill should be celebrated in design and so it’s important to us to source unique, high-quality items which are built to last.

Design & Lo offer a full interior design service from concept to completion and everything in between. The studio shares it’s location between London and Brighton, working on a range of commercial, hospitality and residential projects based in the U.K, Europe and Worldwide covering a range budgets and scale.
We work across a range of architectural spaces from new build to refurbishment and extension of historic properties. Designing functional layouts that are built for busy modern living and with quality in mind to last a lifetime is important to us.
Working alongside out clients, we produce detailed floor plans, technical detail drawings, custom furniture and joinery design, FF&E, furniture selection, styling and architectural finishes and material specification – turn key installation is also available.

FOUNDER & DESIGN DIRECTOR
LOIS SKELDING
Lois has worked professionally in residential, commercial and hospitality design in London for 7+ years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from working at a range of London based boutique design studios.
Growing up with a love of architecture, design, art and the built environment Lois studied a BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture and Design at Nottingham Trent University achieving a 1st Class Honours.
Passionate about classic, quality design, craftsmanship and timeless aesthetic, Lois believes a carefully curated style can create distinctive yet homely spaces.
After developing a strong understanding of how the balance of interiors and architecture can transform a space and how we live, Lois leads the team in creating cohesive, striking and honest spaces down to the last detail.
